Yesterday, Eric Fingerhut of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency reported on the Republican Jewish Coalition's (RJC) newest ad attacking Senator Barack Obama. After describing the ad, Fingerhut makes an important observation (one that we've pointed out before as well) that, "One thing the RJC left out of the advertisement is John McCain’s position on the division of Jerusalem. In fact, it happens to be exactly the same as Obama's: It "will be addressed in negotiations.""
The last time RJC was asked if they knew this fact Matt Brooks, RJC Executive Director, wasn't sure - at best.
On Tuesday afternoon, Republican Jewish Coalition Matt Brooks also criticized Obama for changing his mind on Jerusalem, but when asked whether the candidates’ position on the division of Jerusalem were identical, said he didn’t think so but would check it out.
Brooks "didn't think" that the positions of McCain and Obama were the same. Wonder if Brooks had a chance to check it out before he launched this ad throughout the country.
