Representative Eric Cantor (R-VA), Republican Minority Whip, recently told Haaretz “we need the Sarah Palins, Dick Cheneys, Rush Limbaughs…[w]e need all of them.”
Sound unbelievable? Read the article for yourself.
As the lone remaining Jewish Republican in the House and Senate doesn’t Cantor have the responsibility to stand up to “Limbaugh’s comparison of the Democratic Party to the Nazi Party in World War II?”
(“And on Limbaugh’s website, an Obama healthcare logo is put side-by-side with a Nazi symbol.”)
Here’s the quote: “Adolf Hitler, like Barack Obama, also ruled by dictate.”
Here’s the video:
Cantor, do you still think the Republican Party needs Limbaugh? Do you think this sort of discourse is acceptable from leaders of your movement?
Our answer: “It needs to stop.”
Now it’s your turn Cantor.
As a jewish American whose lineage is closely ties to the events of the Holocaust, I am disgusted and outraged by the loose use of the term “Nazi.” We have not seen the likes of Hitler or his regime in our time. It is not a joke, nor is it relevant to our political system. Back off Rush, and go get some more Oxycodon!
Never have I seen the level of sore-losership that Rush and his ilk exhibit. He’d rather destroy the country than give someone with real ideas a chance to save it. Sad!
This type of name calling only creates anger and hatred. Rush can get good ratings without this. The world would be a better place if we discussed issues rather than ranted over them.
Since the Republican moderates have lost most of their influence within the party, the Republicans have gone off the deep end. Cantor’s comments are despicable.
The scare tactics being used against the healthcare reform movement must stop!
RUSH LIMBAUGH SHOULD HAVE BEEN SHUT OFF THE RADIO YEARS AGO FOR HIS ANTI EVERYTHING.
