While it’s usually difficult to say goodbye, we at NJDC are willing to make an exception this time for the unofficial leader of the “Hitler parade,” Rush Limbaugh.
On his March 8th radio show, a caller asked Limbaugh where he would go for health care if Congress enacted reforms. His response:
“I’ll just tell you this, if this passes and it’s five years from now and all that stuff gets implemented—I am leaving the country. I’ll go to Costa Rica.”
Since the House of Representatives passed the historic healthcare reform bill Sunday night, myriad websites have appeared offering well wishes and aid to Limbaugh as he prepares for this journey.
It appears that Limbaugh is now trying to backtrack on his pledge. Perhaps he just learned that Costa Rica also has a socialized medical safety net. In his Monday radio show, Limbaugh said he does not wish to move to Costa Rica, only to receive his healthcare there. However, after being hospitalized in Hawaii last December, Limbaugh publicly stated his gratitude for receiving “the best healthcare the world has to offer and that [it] is right here in the United States in America.”
Is El Rushbo conflicted? Possibly. Chicken? Perhaps.
Either way, a promise is a promise. So from all of us at NJDC, safe travels, Rush! Please send us a postcard!
rush limbaugh is nothing but a drug infested baffoon who should be given a one way ticket (on a cargo plane, no first class for him!) to Costa Rico, or wherever. Far, far, away!!
You are right, the health care here is great, as long as you can afford it, and have access!
rush grew up in a wealthy family, and has never had to do without. With his giant, gross self, and that cigar hanging out of his piehole, he would be rated substandard, and excluded if he was a commoner like most of the middle class.
Good riddance!!
