Elected in 2002, Representative Adam Schiff is only the second Democrat to represent the 29th district of California since its creation. He is a strong leader in the Democratic Party and in Congress. Through his "Kids First" agenda, Schiff has pushed for improved education safety and health care for children. He is also a respected voice on national security and Armenian-American issues. Schiff serves on the Appropriations Committee, Judiciary Committee, Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and Democracy Assistance Committee. He is a co-founder of the Democratic Study Group on National Security and Congressional Caucus for Freedom of the Press and also a co-chair of the Congressional International Anti-Piracy Caucus. Schiff currently lives in Burbank, California with his wife Eve and their two children.
