WASHINGTON, DC- The National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC) is available to discuss key newsmaker speeches at this weekend’s American Israel Public Affairs (AIPAC) conference, including President Barack Obama’s remarks on Sunday. NJDC is also available to discuss related implications for the Jewish vote along with the predictable criticism from the President’s opponents.

“Sunday’s address to America’s largest pro-Israel gathering will remind the clear majority of American Jews that President Barack Obama has been a strong and outstanding steward of the U.S.-Israel relationship,” said NJDC President and CEO David A. Harris. “I fully expect the President to outline his myriad accomplishments which have supported Israel and advanced American interests—including his leadership of the global effort to stop Iran’s nuclear weapons program. With an impressive list of concrete achievements in hand that have deeply strengthened the U.S.-Israel security relationship, the President is sure to blow away the 12,000 assembled Israel advocates—and leave his partisan critics’ cynical intentions fully exposed.”

As the President and CEO of NJDC, Harris is uniquely attuned to the relationship between the White House and the American Jewish community. He can address both the substance of the President’s address and the politics surrounding the reaction to it, including the inevitable criticism that will come from those with partisan motivations—such as Republican presidential candidates former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, former Senator Rick Santorum, and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, all of whom will speak Tuesday morning.

Harris speaks about the Obama Administration and Israel and the President’s relationship with American Jews on a regular basis. He has been quoted in The New York Times, The New York Daily News, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Jerusalem Post, Haaretz, Fox News, JTA, and other major publications.
