County Executive Leggett to Receive NJDC “Tikkun Olam Award”

Tonight, the National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC) will be honoring Maryland County (MD) Executive Ike Leggett with the "Tikkun Olam Award." Tikkun Olam is a Hebrew expression that is literally translated as "repairing the world.' The expression is often used to describe service to community, country, and global humanitarian efforts.


Honorary Chairs for the event are U.S. Senator Ben Cardin and U.S. Representative Chris Van Hollen. Event Co-Chairs are Richard Cohen, William Dockser, Mort Funger, Michael Gelman, and Barbara Goldberg Goldman.
