Kagan is “Supremely Qualified”

Solicitor General Elena Kagan is supremely qualified and I think the public will appreciate President Obama’s insistence on picking someone with such strong academic and professional qualifications. She will be a welcome addition to a court that has become increasingly divided in favor of the powerful. As American Jews, we also take special pride in seeing another member of our community nominated to the highest court in the land as well as the addition of the third woman to the court.
