Forman: "In an election year when the Jewish vote was talked about more than ever before, it is important to review how the Jewish vote performed."

WASHINGTON, DC - The National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC) released a series of analysis and data concerning the Jewish vote in the 2008 election. This information can be found on NJDC's website at http://www.njdc.org/site/page/jewish_vote_statistics

"In an election year when the Jewish vote was talked about more than ever before, it is important to review how the Jewish vote performed," said Ira N. Forman, Executive Director of NJDC. "This year, once again, Jewish voters overwhelmingly supported the Democratic nominee. Barack Obama exceeded all expectations and captured 78% of the Jewish vote."

NJDC's analysis reviews Jewish voting patterns, polling data, and contribution to the Democratic margins in key states.
