NJDC Mourns the Passing of Former Governor Mario Cuomo

NJDC Chair Greg A. Rosenbaum made the following statement regarding the passing of former New York Governor Mario Cuomo:

“NJDC joins the nation in mourning the loss of former New York Governor Mario Cuomo. A true leader, Cuomo was an inspiration to those of us who believe in the Democratic principles of fighting for the middle class and helping those in need.

“He was a special friend to the Jewish community, from his days as a young ‘shabbos goy’ at a local synagogue to his time as a Democratic party leader, advocating support for the state of Israel.

“Our thoughts and prayers go to his family. Please know that his memory is truly a blessing.”
