NJDC Hails Brian Schatz Appointment to U.S. Senate

WASHINGTON, DC- National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC) Chair Marc R. Stanley and NJDC President and CEO David A. Harris issued the following statement in response to the news that Lieutenant Governor Brian Schatz has been appointed to take over the Senate seat formerly held by the late Senator Daniel Inouye (D-HI):

“The National Jewish Democratic Council is pleased to see that Lieutenant Governor Brian Schatz has been selected to serve in the United States Senate. The late Senator Inouye left behind a tremendous record of partnership with the Jewish and pro-Israel communities—and we are fully confident that Brian Schatz will continue that robust partnership.
