NJDC Steps-Up Virginia Jewish Voter Outreach

WASHINGTON, DC – The National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC) has stepped-up its unmatched Jewish outreach effort for the upcoming Virginia election with newspaper advertising, literature drops, and canvassing.
“Jewish voters in Virginia need to know the important facts in this critical election when they go to the voting booth on November 3,” said Ira N. Forman, CEO of NJDC. “By launching an unprecedented outreach campaign NJDC is reaffirming that the importance of engaging the Jewish community cannot be overemphasized.”
NJDC’s Virginia outreach campaign addresses important issues to the Jewish community such as women’s equal rights, reproductive freedom, stem cell research, health care, and building an economic partnership between Israel and Virginia.
Additionally, NJDC has organized trainings, surrogate speaking, and phone banking efforts to help educated Jewish efforts in Virginia.
NJDC’s newspaper advertising will appear in Jewish newspapers targeting the Northern Virginia and Tidewater regions.
“As polling for this election gets closer and closer, Jewish voters are more important than ever,” said Forman. “NJDC estimates that Jewish voter turnout will be approximately 50,000 voters, which could make the difference in this election.”
