Sander Levin

Representative Sander "Sandy" Levin has served the 12th congressional district of Michigan since 1983. He has an advocate of energy independence and keeping American jobs at home. Levin is also a leader on trade issues and protecting the rights of workers. Levin is the third ranking Democrat on the Ways and Means Committee, the chair of the Trade subcommittee and serves on the Social Security subcommittee. Levin was elected to the Michigan State Senate in 1964,and served as Senate Minority Leader from 1969 to 1970. Levin's brother, Carl Levin is a United States Senator. Levin lives in Royal Oak, Michigan with his wife Vicki. They have four children and eight grandchildren.
