Senator Brian Schatz (Hawaii)

Senator Brian Schatz was appointed to the U.S. Senate by Hawaii Governor Neil Abercrombie to fill the vacancy left by the passing of long-time Senator Daniel Inouye (D-HI). Prior to his appointment, Senator Schatz served as Hawaii’s Lieutenant Governor. Schatz was sworn in using a tanakh when he took the oath of office.
