The National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC) welcomed President Barack Obama’s nomination of Penny Pritzker to be the next Commerce Secretary. NJDC Chair Marc R. Stanley said:

“The National Jewish Democratic Council welcomes President Obama’s selection of Penny Pritzker to be the next Commerce Secretary. Pritzker is an important leader and philanthropist in the American Jewish community. Her vast business experience uniquely qualifies her to head the Commerce Department. We wish Pritzker the best of luck and urge the Senate to confirm her quickly.”
