Rosner Mocks Bogus Jewish Opinion Poll; Preemptively Gripes About Similar Future Polls

The Jerusalem Post’s Shmuel Rosner mocked the bogus Jewish opinion poll conducted by McLaughlin and Caddell and dismissed their claims about Jewish voters. Rosner concurred with others that the poll has a plethora of flaws in its methodology and results, which can be read about here. Rosner pointed out:

65 percent voted for Obama, 24% for John McCain?

Only 43% would vote to re-elect Obama?

More American Jews trust Fox News more than any other media outlet?

As Adam Serwer writes: ‘McLaughlin’s and Caddell’s poll is laughably bogus.’

Take a look at the way this question is framed and you’ll see why [this poll is laughable]:

Should Israel be forced to return to its pre-1967 borders which were susceptible to attack at points where the country was only 8 miles wide?

That is not a way to ask a question - that’s an attempt, not even remarkably sophisticated, to make people uneasy with Obama’s position.

Rosner also preemptively griped about the future bogus polls that are likely to come:

[O]ne wonders: We’re 16 months ahead of election day and it already began - how many such polls are we going to have to deal with before November of 2012?
