Jewish Dems Praise Obama, Troops For Bringing Osama Bin Laden to Justice

The National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC) today lauded the news that Osama Bin Laden—the leader of al-Qaeda and the mastermind of the 9/11 terror attacks—was killed in Pakistan Sunday. NJDC President and CEO David A. Harris said upon hearing the news:

The National Jewish Democratic Council wants to congratulate and thank our troops and intelligence community for their hard work in neutralizing one of the greatest threats to American security, the security of the state of Israel and Jewish communities throughout the world.

Tremendous credit is due to President Barack Obama for his leadership and steady hand in guiding this operation. The President truly showed patience, fortitude and skill in guiding this mission over the course of his presidency. While we must remain ever vigilant, this strikes a serious blow to al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups.

Throughout his presidency, Obama has guided the War on Terror with professionalism and has relentlessly pursued America’s enemies. From his early 2009 leadership in recovering hijacked crew members of the Maersk Alabama from Somali pirates, use of drones to neutralize terrorists and insurgents in Pakistan and the swift apprehension of the would-be “underwear bomber” and “Times Square bomber,” the President has proven to be a strong steward of our national security.

With this Justified Act of Serious Threat Reduction we are able to show the brainwashed ones that their hero does not have the protection of G-D and is not superhuman! If anything Osama Bin-Laden was a psychotic mass-murderer who distorted Islam and did more harm to true Muslims and to our wonderful American ideal of Unity-in-Diversity! We can now begin to do even more to reverse that damage. As American Jews who Respect All The Major Religions and Recognise the Essential Right to Freedom of Worship and/or Meditation, regardless of what Religion or Spiritual Teaching one may choose, we must redouble our efforts to bring about a Two States Peace between predominantly Jewish Israelis and predominantly Muslim Palestinians. True; the recent rapprochement between the P.A. and HAMAS presents additional difficulties, and the situation in Egypt, Syria and elsewhere in the region does not make things easier at all: but if we are wise and intelligent enough we can work with what exists and still manage to reach the kind of result that can later be improved-upon. Failure to act promptly, decisively and wisely could easily set us all back ages; something we and the rest of The World cannot really afford!
