Rabbi Boteach Must Apologize for Disgusting Ad Attacking Susan Rice

Today, the National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC) called on Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, Executive Director of the “This World: The Values Network,” to apologize for an advertisement he sponsored in this morning’s New York Times.

To say that Susan Rice “has a blind spot” for “the Jewish people’s” “genocide” is disgusting and astonishingly beyond the pale. Rabbi Boteach must apologize to Susan Rice immediately and explain why he would spread and promote such falsehoods.

NJDC is part of a growing group of Jewish and pro-Israel groups that have denounced the ad. AIPAC said that this ad hominem attack has no place in our discourse and the Jewish Federations of North America called the ad “outrageous.” Abe Foxman, national director of the Anti-Defamation League, described the ad as “perverse, incendiary.” J Street also denounced the ad and AJC said the ad “was way over the top.”
