NJDC Congratulates Senator Brown

The National Jewish Democratic Council congratulated Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) on his victory tonight. NJDC Chair Marc R. Stanley and President and CEO David A. Harris said:

On behalf of NJDC’s Board of Directors, staff and membership, we warmly congratulate Senator Sherrod Brown on his very important victory tonight. Senator Brown has been a staunch defender of America’s middle class and a true ally of the Jewish community on a variety of domestic issues, and when it comes to ensuring a strong and secure Israel as well. Despite an onslaught of outside funding from those determined to knock him off message, Senator Brown remained steadfast and true to his ideals - and true to the values that he shares with the vast majority of American Jews in Ohio and nationwide.

We look forward to working closely with Senator Brown in his second Senate term.
