Cantor: American Jobs Not a Joke

An AFSCME/Americans United Ad urged action against Republican leaders who were against the economic stimulus plan. In response, Republican House Minority WHIP Eric Cantor’s office responded with a profanity laden video with the declaration, “You could post this as my response.” Some think that we all need a better sense of humor, but the loss of so many American jobs is no joke. The careless and offhanded response to this serious ad about American jobs gives a small glimpse of the attitude of the office of one of our country’s most powerful Republicans toward hard working Americans.

Click here to see the response from Cantor’s office. Be warned that the video is full of profanity. It should also be noted that Cantor’s office issued an apology. While this is certainly warranted, their demeaning instinctual response remains troubling.
