Marc R. Stanley, chairman of NJDC was profiled in the Dallas Morning News. The article notes:
As president of the National Jewish Democratic Council, Mr. Stanley faces a particular challenge from such messages. His group essentially vouches for the Democratic Party to the Jewish community, and such rumors – all of which Mr. Obama strongly disavows – threaten to erode Jewish support that Democrats count on to win elections.
If that support dips in battleground states such as Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania, it could cost Mr. Obama the election.
"We're certainly more relevant because of the attack on Obama within the Jewish community," Mr. Stanley said. "It's not our job to get Obama elected. That's his job, but it's our job to communicate accurate information to the Jewish community that he's not a Muslim, that he was not raised in a madrassah and that he has a very good record for Israel and has an excellent record for issues that concern American Jews."
