Clinton Lists Challenge to AZ Law as a Defense of Human Rights

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has listed the Federal Government’s challenge to Arizona’s immigration law as one way that the United States protects the human rights of those living in our country. Clinton’s brief mention of the bill in her report has drawn the fierce ire of Arizona’s Republican Governor Jan Brewer (R-AZ), who champions the controversial set of laws.

Brewer has dubbed the Federal Government’s challenge to the laws “unconstitutional” and considers the entire report, which lists 100 items that the government is doing domestically to protect human rights, to be an example of “internationalism run amok.”
