NJDC Calls on Israel Supporters to Denounce Gaffney and Beck’s Dangerous Israel Conspiracy Theory

NJDC — March 30, 2011 – 2:19 pm | Israel | Stop the Smears Comments (2) Add a comment

The National Jewish Democratic Council calls on Israel supporters of all political stripes to denounce the recent conspiracy theory advanced by conservative columnist Frank Gaffney and others that has been amplified by Fox News host Glenn Beck. They all have baselessly and ridiculously claimed that the United States is planning to launch a military attack against Israel.

This bizarre theory is utterly false and dangerous for the U.S.-Israel relationship. The reality of U.S.-Israel relations is that the strategic relationship between the two countries is stronger than ever. Further, President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, along with countless other combinations of American and Israeli government and defense officials, consistently discuss matters central to Israel’s security and U.S.-Israel strategic relations. Deeper still, there is an overwhelming bipartisan consensus within the halls of Congress that the U.S.-Israel relationship is essential to both countries’ interests.

Pretending that these facts do not exist and denying them outright is irresponsible and dangerous, and puts the U.S.-Israel relationship in jeopardy.

Therefore, we call upon supporters of Israel, regardless of political affiliation or ideology, to denounce this ridiculous theory and set the record straight whenever and wherever they see this theory advanced.

The U.S.-Israel relationship depends on it.

Allow me to qualify what I am about to state (write):
While Frank Gaffney, Glenn Beck and others of the Reactionary New Right seem to have their own sinister and selfish motives in their attempts to confuse, divide and exploit the American Jewish majority I do not actually have any evidence that they (G. Beck, F. Gaffney, etc.) are part of some secret Alliance of Co-Dependent Enemies with the other enemies of Responsibly Liberal Progressive Democratic societies, namely Al-Qaeda and other similar sick, dangerous, primitive divisive groups! BUT I do have the right to say this: WHAT IF there is an unintentional, sub-conscious, sick psychological (Abnormal Psychology) Co-Dependency between the Confusionist Reactionary New Right and the Clever but Totally Unwise Psychotic Global Caliphate-desiring pseudo-Islamic Al-Qaeda and their Co-Collaborants??? The question may seem preposterous at first, but when one think about it THEN it becomes at least somewhat plausible…in theory… if not in reality!
Strange that on this same day I read on Yahoo News a Reuters Report about Al-Qaeda suggesting that the massive wave of anti-Regimes street protests throughout the predominantly Muslim Arab nations is a “great leap forward” that will serve the long-term goals/interests of Al-Qaeda and other Islam-hijacking violent extremists. And to that Reuters Report I wrote this:

More cleverly devised Al-Qaeda BiG LiES! Do your own research. Al-Qaeda wants US to be indecisive.

Al-Qaeda is WRONG AGAIN! MOST of the young people throughout the Arab Islamic countries are not like many uneducated young people further Eastward in Central-Asia. Most of the Arab youths want to be accepted as part of the overall Liberal Secular Democratic nations of Europe, North America and ANZAC. They do not want to live under a primitive Caliphate nor are they interested in anti-Americanism per se. That said; keep in mind that I am talking about MOST and not ALL or EVERY Arab youth! There is a significant minority of extremists among North African and Middle Eastern Arab Muslims. I would guesstimate around 25 to 30% at most. Perhaps as little as 12 to 15%. Which is why we must be careful HOW we support these movements for change; so as to empower the relatively moderate types and reduce the chances that we accidentally give weapons and money to those who are psychotic.

What Al-Qaeda probably ALSO wants is for US to abandon/neglect/disenfranchise the majority of relatively Secular relatively Moderate Arabs; as they have been hoping to do for a long time now! As for those in the Reactionary Right who are fear-mongering by suggesting that we risk supporting Al-Qaeda if we do not support psychotic and unethical Arab Regimes: the Reactionary Right want US to be in an eternal state of war against all Arab Muslims and non-Arab Muslims: something that is neither justified in terms of the actual demographic and political facts…given that the psychotic dangerous types are a minority…nor can continue without bankrupting US and leading to a TOTAL & HORRIFICALLY FINAL WORLD WAR Clash of Civilizations! I say: support the relatively moderate types against both the Unethical, Brutal Regimes and against the Psychotic Al-Qaeda/anti-Secular types.

So: WHAT IF THE New Reactionaries are unintentionally, i.e. subconsciously, Co-Dependent on Al-Qaeda and other extreme groups???

I agree that most of the youth of the Islamic world want to be free from old caliphate regulations, most of which were misinterpreted to suit the political egoism of their dictators/monarchy. It is easier to rule and control people religiously through the dark and unknown so long they are ignorant of their real religion. Those who mislead than can go about to plunder what rightfully belongs to the masses.
