Some of today’s questionable right-wing statements and decisions include:

• Audio surfacing of Nevada Senate candidate Sharron Angle (R-NV) apparently trashing the Republican Party’s leadership and implying that a quid pro quo arrangement could be reached with an opponent. The District Attorney who has jurisdiction over the audio said that the recording was made legally. 
• Angle is also arguing that an ad produced by her opponent is false, even though the ad features her not being truthful, in her own words.
• Angle also declared over the weekend that Sharia law is starting to “take hold” in the United States.
• The AP reported that Delaware Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell (R-DE) once declared that China has a “carefully thought out and strategic plan to take over America,” during a Senate primary debate in 2006. She implied that she ascertained this information through classified sources.
• New York Gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino (R-NY) was caught embellishing his involvement in defusing student strikes while in college.
• The New York Daily News also reported that despite Paladino’s business background and anti-government positions, he has actually created very few jobs and receives millions of dollars in corporate tax breaks.
• Politico reported that World Wrestling Entertainment, the company formerly headed by Connecticut Senate candidate Linda McMahon (R-CT) from 1997 until 2009, partnered with the producers of “Girls Gone Wild” in 2003 for a pay-per-view event. Reportedly, McMahon frequently cites her experience as CEO of WWE as a qualification for the U.S. Senate.
• Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC) implied that he stands by his comments from 2004 in which he claimed that homosexuals and sexually active single women should be prohibited from teaching.
