Today, members of the Women’s Leadership Network, along with Terry McAuliffe supporters worked hard to turn out the vote!

GOTV 2013

Here is a quick reminder about what is at stake in this key election:

The Democrats

Terry McAuliffe, the Democratic candidate for Governor, will support Virginia women.

  • He trusts women to make their own healthcare decisions
  • He won’t let politicians come between     a woman and her doctor
  • He wants to make sure all Virginians have access to affordable healthcare

Mark Herring, the Democratic candidate for Attorney General, will support Virginia women.

  • He will repeal the extreme policies that the Republicans, led by Ken Cuccinelli have passed.
  • He will work to reduce gun violence
  • He will ensure paycheck fairness in Virginia

The Republicans

Ken Cuccinelli, the Republican candidate for Governor, has quite the record:

  • He has worked to deny affordable healthcare to Virginians
  • He does not support birth control or safe and legal abortion
  • He supports personhood measures, which outlaw common forms of birth control

Mark Obenshain, the Republican candidate for Attorney General, is more of the same.

  • He introduced a bill that would mandate women have to report miscarriages to the police
  • He has worked to make ultrasounds mandatory before an abortion
