Immigration Reform: A Jewish Obligation (ACT NOW!)

After weeks of intense discussion, the Senate is finally deliberating the Gang of 8’s bipartisan immigration reform bill on the floor. The bill, co-written by respected Democratic Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL), Robert Menendez (D-NJ), Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and Michael Bennet (D-CO), provides sensible and rational solutions to reform the immigration system. The bill includes concrete steps to secure our borders, strengthen our economy, protect families, and create a fair and legal path to citizenship that allows all immigrants to fully contribute to America.

It is our obligation to stand with them.

L’dor v’dor —from generation to generation—is a phrase that is woven into the fabric of every Jew and directs us to honor those who came before us. Many of us are the sons, daughters, or grandchildren of immigrants and understand what it means for the United States to truly be a land of opportunity. As Jewish Americans, in the name of past generations and future generations, it is our duty to help fix our nation’s broken immigration system.

Today, there is something you can do. Click on this link, call your Senator and urge them to vote in favor of this commonsense, bipartisan immigration reform legislation.

Thank you for making this important call.
