Forman: GOP “Strategy Is All About Obstructing” Health Care Reform

Ira N. Forman, NJDC’s CEO, published the following op-ed in Politico’s arena about who “wins” with President Barack Obama’s health care summit:

Clearly the administration and Democrats will benefit from this summit. The GOP strategy relies on mischaracterizing the administration’s proposals and avoiding having to make clear proposals of their own. To the degree that the public gets to see both sides’ positions more clearly, Democrats will win.

The GOP is strategy is all about obstructing any “wins” for Obama. Republican legislators are not about to change their minds
