John Harwood of The New York Times wrote over the weekend that President Barack Obama “has stronger prospects for achieving his health policy goals than surface impressions of the Congressional recess indicate.”
One element that is helping Obama with his initiatives is involvement by the Jewish community. Recently, NJDC launched our Rabbis for Health Insurance Reform initiative and the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism launched its own Jews for Health Care Reform campaign. Also, a number of Rabbis have published op-ed pieces in favor of health care reform.
