The National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC) Executive Director Rabbi Jack Moline and Chair Marc R. Stanley issued the following statement in response to the news that Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) has been named Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee-

“The National Jewish Democratic Council wishes our Honorary Co-Chair, Senator Ron Wyden, a hearty mazal tovon becoming the Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee. He has a proven track record of supporting core Democratic principles and of bi-partisan work on sponsorship of a variety of bills. We look forward to continuing our work with him, and we know he will be an excellent Chair.
