NJDC Mourns the Loss of George McGovern

The National Jewish Democratic Council mourns the loss of former Senator and Democratic presidential candidate George McGovern. McGovern was a leading progressive figure in our Party and a role model to many who value tikkun olam—repairing the world. His service to the American people and his bid for the presidency inspired many young Americans to become involved in the Democratic Party and fight for causes in which they deeply believed. His legacy will forever be felt in our party and we extend our condolences to his family and friends.
