Israeli Poll: “Record High Support For Peace Talks”

The Evens Program in Mediation and Conflict Resolution at Tel Aviv University released a new “War and Peace Index” with some very interesting findings.

  • The poll found that 75% of the Israeli public supports holding peace talks with the Palestinians
  • The poll also found that there was a significant decrease of Israelis who identify President Barack Obama as pro-Palestinian. This seems to contradict a widely publicized poll from the summer.

The new poll results seem to show growing support for peace between Israelis and Palestinians. However, it appears that at least one naive Middle East observer has not examined the new polling data and refuses to take her head out of the clouds…
