The National Jewish Democratic Council congratulates Rabbi David Saperstein on his nomination as Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom.  Rabbi Saperstein has long been the voice of human rights and the protection of faith communities for the Religious Action Center.  He is among the wisest and most respected representatives of Jewish and American values in the world, and we are proud that he will be devoting his talents to the cause of religious freedom around the world.  Rabbi Saperstein’s nomination underscores the devotion of the Obama Administration to the principles that have made America strong and allowed faith communities to thrive.  We wish Rabbi Saperstein every success.
