NJDC Mourns the Passing of Former Ambassador Samuel W. Lewis

On behalf of the National Jewish Democratic Council, Chair Marc Stanley and Executive Director Rabbi Jack Moline extend our condolences to the family of Ambassador Samuel W. Lewis.  Ambassador Lewis’s long career as a diplomat, including his eight years as United States Ambassador to Israel, helped to advance the cause of peace and to strengthen the unbreakable bond between the two countries.

In his government service and as a private citizen, Ambassador Lewis exemplified the type of public service that sets an example for all Americans. May his memory be a blessing.
