NJDC Condemns Invocation of Holocaust by Republican WI Agriculture Secretary

NJDC — March 10, 2011 – 1:06 pm | Abusive Holocaust Rhetoric Comments (0) Add a comment

The National Jewish Democratic Council condemns the invocation of the Holocaust by Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection Secretary Ben Brancel (R-WI). As we have said repeatedly, invoking the Holocaust to make a political point is never acceptable.

Brancel is an award-winning Republican public servant who was appointed to his post by Governor Scott Walker (R-WI). His actions demonstrate that abusive Holocaust rhetoric remains a major problem within the Republican Party. NJDC calls on Republican Party leaders to condemn Brancel’s remarks and make it clear to the rest of the GOP that abusive Holocaust references are never acceptable.
