NJDC Condemns Death Threats Against Sarah Palin in Strongest Possible Terms

The National Jewish Democratic Council condemns the reports of death threats made against former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. Any threat on the life of a public figure is detestable and has no place in our society. As President Barack Obama aptly stated at the memorial in Tucson last night, we must stand by our country’s founding principles and engage in civil and peaceful discourse.

I stand 100% with the NJDC in condemning any and all illegal and unethical threats, especially those that threaten physical injury or murder! We must all observe the Rule of Law no matter how un-civilized people’s words may get!
It is one thing to speak freely, in a non-violent way, and protest the ignorance, stupidity, foolishness and/or dishonesty, malevolence and dangerous ways of others BUT there can be no real benefit or good outcome to making illegal threats! Such unethical and dangerous threats are counter-productive and benefit the enemies of Democracy, Peace, Prosperity and Freedom! We can threaten non-violent Legal Action and Boycotts, but never should we threaten the right of others to be wrong! Murdering or even seriously injuring our political opponents is not only cowardly BUT it always backfires BIG TIME! After all; not only will there always be someone to replace our opponents, but we will then become no better than them, and they will begin to seem better than US!
So; NO DEATH THREATS, NO ILLEGAL THREATS! IF you really care about Our Great Constitution & Country!
