President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held an hour-long discussion last night. Below is the White House readout of their call:

President Obama spoke with Prime Minister Netanyahu for an hour tonight as a part of their ongoing consultations. The two leaders discussed the threat posed by Iran’s nuclear program, and our close cooperation on Iran and other security issues. President Obama and Prime Minister Netanyahu reaffirmed that they are united in their determination to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, and agreed to continue their close consultations going forward. Contrary to reports in the press, there was never a request for Prime Minister Netanyahu to meet with President Obama in Washington, nor was a request for a meeting ever denied.

Where are you?  I had to search for you to know what you are saying.  We’re going to lose large chunks of the Jewish vote because they believe that Obama is “throwing Israel under the bus”, despite comments by Ehud Barack and Perez.  Netanyahu’s pressure tactics are being misunderstood as rift.  PR to the contrary is not convincing enough.  Dershowitz says Obama may lose FL because of this.  Here in Bergen County, NJ I hear too many Jews who won’t vote for Obama because of their views on Israel.  We need to straighten them out.  There are only 2 months left.
What can I do?
