Obama Meets with Barak

Yesterday President Barack Obama assured Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak of Washington’s ‘unshakeable’ commitment to the Jewish state’s security.

Obama, who dropped by a meeting between Barack and General James Jones, also reiterated his commitment to achieving peace, “including a two-state solution with a secure Jewish state of Israel living side by side in peace and security with a viable and independent Palestinian state.” 

Today, Barak continued his trip to Washington and was set to meet with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Defense Secretary Robert Gates.
