The Obama Administration condemned the report released by the Palestinian Authority that dismissed the Jewish connection to the Western Wall and the Temple Mount site in Jerusalem.

The State Department said:

Regarding a claim by a senior Palestinian official of the Western Wall is an Islamic Waqf, we strongly condemn these comments and fully reject them as factually incorrect, insensitive and highly provocative.

And:

We have repeatedly raised with the Palestinian Authority leadership the need to consistently combat all forms of de-legitimization of Israel, including denying historic Jewish connections to the land.

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Representative Howard Berman (D-CA) also condemned the report and called on Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to denounce the report as well.
