The AP reports that Illinois Republican Senate candidate Representative Mark Kirk (R-IL) has been rebuked by the Pentagon for “improperly mingling politics with his military service.” Apparently, Kirk was warned twice about his violations of military protocol.

These new revelations come after Kirk received the “Pants on Fire Award” from the Chicago Tribune because he “misremembered” his military service.
