Following the posting of NJDC’s latest fact sheet on the state of the U.S.-Israel relationship from the perspective of Israel’s Ambassador to the United States, His Excellency Michael B. Oren, the Republican Jewish Coalition participated in the following conversation on Twitter:
lilleth71: @RJCHQ - Did u c this? >> Israel’s Ambassador to the US Michael B. Oren on the State of U.S.-Israel Relations | NJDC http://goo.gl/RC71
RJCHQ: @lilleth71 typical for that desperate bunch. At this point, hard to believe anyone’s buying their BS.
It appears that RJC, through its Twitter account, dismissed the directly sourced and approved words of the Israeli Ambassador to the United States as “BS.”
If RJC had read the fact sheet, they would have learned (among other things):
“The Ambassador expressed deep concern over the increasing use of support for Israel as a partisan issue in American domestic politics. The Ambassador stressed that bipartisan support for Israel is a strategic national interest for the State of Israel.”
RJC’s tweet appears to be in conflict with Oren’s call for bipartisanship when it comes to the U.S.-Israel relationship…
