Below are some of Wednesday’s questionable right-wing statements and decisions:

• Nevada Senate candidate Sharron Angle (R-NV) has apparently created a schism among top Nevada Republicans including Senate Minority Leader Bill Raggio (R-NV) and the widow of former Nevada Governor Kenny Guinn (R-NV). Many Nevada Republicans not only have personal enmity towards Angle, but disapprove of her extreme beliefs.
• California Senate candidate Carly Fiorina (R-CA) received campaign assistance from the pro-Proposition 8 group National Organization for Marriage and the anti-choice group National Right to Life.
• Recent investigations into the collegiate secret society of Kentucky Senate candidate Rand Paul (R-KY) found that the NoZe Brotherhood newsletters included anti-Christian rhetoric, mainly ridiculing Baylor University’s faith-based orientation.
• It was revealed that, contrary to his current campaign promise to cut taxes, Alaska Senate candidate Joe Miller (R-AK) fought as to increase taxes on the Trans-Alaskan Pipeline.
• Miller also continued to publish his provocative, far-right political beliefs on his website, including his disbelief in climate change.
• A new affidavit provides further details in support of the allegations that South Carolina Gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley (R-SC) was involved in an extra-marital affair with a political blogger.
• Illinois Senate candidate Mark Kirk (R-IL) told Republican leaders of his strategy to assign “voter integrity” staff to neighborhoods with significant minority populations because he believes Democrats will try to “jigger the numbers somewhat.”
• New York gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino (R-NY) was slammed by his gay nephew for his anti-gay remarks.
• It was revealed today that despite Paladino‘s recently-expressed negative views of homosexuality, Paladino profited from two gay clubs located in buildings that he owned. Additionally, Paladino’s son, William, once ran the “gay club of the moment” in Buffalo.
• Paladino issued an apology for his offensive anti-gay remarks. Rabbi Yehudah Levin, the Orthodox Rabbi who staunchly supported Paladino, withdrew his endorsement because Paladino apologized.
• The Atlantic reported that, based on his remarks, Paladino appears to believe that gay marriage warrants as much anger and outrage as the Holocaust.
• Kansas Gubernatorial candidate Sam Brownback (R-KS) refuses to comment on his ties to a controversial pastor.
• A recent political mailing sponsored by the Arizona Republican Party implied that electing Democratic candidates will attract drugs and violent shooting sprees by undocumented immigrants.
• Tablet Magazine profiled David Barton, a favorite guest “historian” on Glenn Beck’s Fox News show. The article details his past associations with white supremacists and Holocaust deniers. Tablet also noted that Barton is a frequent speaker at Republican and Tea Party rallies.
