Below are some of the questionable right-wing statements and decisions from the weekend and today:
- RNC Chairman Michael Steele told Republicans who are critical of former Alaska Governor and rumored 2012 Presidential candidate Sarah Palin (R-AK) to “shut up.”
- Coincidentally, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney (R-MA) and Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty (R-MN) - both rumored 2012 Presidential candidates - expressed praise for Palin.
- Palin called Alaskan news reporters “corrupt bastards” for allegedly conspiring against Alaska Senate candidate Joe Miller (R-AK).
- Palin also took a swing a Politico for publishing a “crap” story.
- New York gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino‘s (R-NY) campaign sent out a phony “Important Tax Information” mailer.
- Paladino also dodged the media when pressed about calling Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) “Schumer’s little girl.”

- If re-elected, Minnesota Representative Michele Bachmann (R-MN) plans to establish a class on the Constitution for members of Congress to “learn and explore together.”
- Former Republican Congressman and current Colorado Gubernatorial candidate Tom Tancredo (American Constitution Party-CO) reaffirmed his belief that an attack on the Muslim holy sites in Mecca and Medina would be an appropriate response to terrorist attacks against the United States.
- Despite contrary reports by Arizona’s Secretary of State, Congressional candidate Jesse Kelly (R-AZ) still believes that Mexican citizens will be brought into Yuma County to vote illegally.
- Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA) said that the United States is under “secular socialist” rule and compared it to the “Soviet Polish dictatorship” over Poland during the Cold War.
- Delaware Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell (R-DE) is attempting to run a 30 minute campaign ad on television in Delaware.
- The corruption trial for Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-TX) began today.
