Sharron Angle Remains Silent for the Media ***Updated***

Nevada’s Tea Party backed GOP Senate nominee Sharron Angle (R-NV) is eager to challenge Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) for his Senate seat come November. But apparently, we won’t be hearing her address the media for some time.

According to National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), Angle needs time to get “staffed up and prepared” before facing the media. However, it should be noted that she has granted interviews to conservative outlets such as Fox and Friends and The Rush Limbaugh Show.

It appears Cornyn may have a point. Check out this comment Angle made back in January.

***Update***

TPM has posted a video of Angle taking questions from local media in Nevada. The reporter asked tough but straightforward questions about the extreme positions listed on Angle’s website. Angrily, Angle refused to give straight answers and instead hinted that the interview was a set-up by Reid’s campaign. Following the encounter, Angle’s spokesperson “called [the] reporter ‘an idiot’—and another term that cannot be repeated on television.”
