The Know - Nothing Party

Forget the gratuitously nasty comments about Senator Barack Obama.  Forget the out and out lies told about Obama’s statements.  Now, the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) tells us that global warming has nothing to do with human activity.

I thought I had seen it all after nearly 13 years of debating my colleagues from the RJC.  But last night in Chicago, Richard Beahr, representing the RJC, argued strongly that there is no scientific agreement that climate change is man made.  To add insult to injury RJC supporters in the audience then argued that it is okay to teach creationism in the schools.

Are Republican Jews so fixated on defending their candidates that they have no problem taking positions that contradict accepted scientific consensus?  What comes next?  Will they start fighting for the notion that the earth is flat?
