In President Barack Obama’s Weekly Address, Obama discusses why we need a clean energy economy and praises the historic energy legislation passed by the House of Representatives on Friday. This legislation will not only lessen our dependence on foreign oil, but will create a clean energy transformation in our economy that will create millions of new jobs in the U.S.

Green jobs will be created at higher costs, but little affordable energy will result. This is all pie in the sky.

We are heartened that the U.S. House of Rep. has taken a small step towards a greener world. Would that the Senate makes it stronger and that it will be as strong as the one the Netherlands enacted ten years ago.

As a foreign policy hawk, there is no greater priority then getting the world off of the oil teet. For anyone who is serious about our men and women of the military and safety of the US and our allies from terrorism, there is no greater challenge to finding an alternative to oil.
