Senator David Vitter (R-LA) said recently that he would support legal challenges regarding President Barack Obama’s birthplace. At an event in Metairie, Louisiana, Vitter was asked what he would do about Obama’s “refusal” to publicize his birth certificate. Vitter responded by saying that he was not “dismissing” the birther theory:
I support conservative legal organizations and others who would bring that to the court. I think that is the valid and most possibly effective grounds to do it.
