Yesterday Texas State Senator Wendy Davis (D-Fort Worth) filibustered an extreme Republican bill that would have placed new restrictions on a woman’s right to choose.

After Senate Democrats delayed a vote on the bill over the weekend, Senator Davis read stories from women around the country over the 12 hours to prevent the bill from passing. NJDC commends Senator Davis for her courage to stand up for women across Texas!
