On March 10, 2011 the National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC) honored Kenneth R. Feinberg with the Hubert Humphrey Humanitarian Award during a ceremony at the University Club in Washington, DC. Victoria Kennedy was on-hand to present the award to Feinberg. NJDC leadership including Chair Marc R. Stanley, and President and CEO David A. Harris, were also in attendance.

The Hubert Humphrey Humanitarian Award was established by the NJDC and the late Saul Stern to recognize lifetime achievement in promoting issues central to the NJDC agenda including ensuring a better world for our children and grandchildren. The award is named after the former Vice President as a tribute to his longstanding support of Jewish causes at home and abroad, and to his outstanding commitment to America and a more just and humane society. Past recipients of the award include President Bill Clinton, then-Senator Hillary Clinton, and Vice President Al Gore.
