Obama Working Towards Comprehensive Iran Sanctions

President Barack Obama’s administration and the Treasury Department are currently working on a “comprehensive Iran sanctions plan.”

From JTA:

[The plan] takes into account Iran’s potential vulnerabilities and those activities that have the greatest influence on Iran’s decision makers ... As we consider various measures, we are particularly mindful of potential unintended consequences on the people of Iran and the internal dynamic now playing out in that country.

It’s clear: Obama and congressional Democrats are on top of the Iran issue and they are working to make sure that Iran does not obtain nuclear weapons.

Iran should not arouse concern. Georgia is the most dangerous flashpoint in Russia’s tense relations with the West.
