Obama Continues His pro-Israel Streak

President Barack Obama is continuing his streak of supporting Israel with significant actions and gestures:

• According to Israel’s Ambassador to the United States Michael Oren, Obama is “foursquare beside us [Israel] against the Goldstone report” and is exploring ways to improve Israel’s qualitative military edge over its enemies.
  
• In keeping with his pledge to improve Israel’s defenses, the United States military is conducting a joint missile defense exercise with Israel’s military in order to increase the strategic alliance between the two countries.
• United Nations Ambassador Susan Rice visited Israel and reaffirmed American support for the peace process.
• Obama also repealed the import tariffs on Israeli dairy products, making it easier for American consumers to purchase kosher dairy products. The tariffs still apply to most other countries. 
• Obama’s Administration “is very concerned” about the growing tension between Israel and Turkey.
