Some of This Week’s Questionable Right-Wing Statements and Actions

Below is a sampling of this week’s questionable right-wing statements and actions:

  • New audio surfaced of Nevada Senate candidate Sharron Angle (R-NV) agreeing with a radio host who asserted that there are “domestic enemies” within the halls of congress.
  • Representative John Flemming (R-LA) told a Republican gathering in Louisiana that November’s election is a choice between becoming an “atheist society” and remaining a “Christian nation.”
  • Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin (R-AK) defended conservative pundit Laura Schlessinger’s use of the N-word. Palin was rebuked by several prominent African-American conservatives.
  • It was revealed this week that Palin received $75,000 from cash-strapped California State University-Stanislaus for speaking at their fundraiser back in June.
  • Expelled Tea Party Chairman Mark Williams defended his use of the term Judenrat to describe New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg (I-NY). Williams has a history of using abusive Holocaust rhetoric to promote his radical agenda.
  • Florida House candidate Allen West (R-FL) refused to apologize for comparing a campaign tracker to the Gestapo.
  • Wisconsin Senate candidate Ron Johnson (R-WI) gave an incorrect explanation about the origin of Greenland’s name.
  • New York Gubernatorial candidate Carl Palladino (R-NY) suggested housing welfare recipients in prisons.
  • This weekend, the Tea Party will be converging on Washington for a rally headlined by Glenn Beck. Palin and Representative Michele Bachmann (R-MN) will be fixtures during the festivities. Click here to view highlights from the offensive DC travel guide being circulated by Tea Party members.

And, be sure to read Slate’s profile of right-wing Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli (R-VA). Thus far into Cuccinelli’s tenure as Attorney General, the author at Slate drew this conclusion:

Either Cuccinelli is acting out or he’s running for Sarah Palin’s vice president. Neither choice really befits the office of the attorney general.

I am so happy that the ugly (inside and out) crazy old gym teacher reaped what she had sowed. She could have gotten her argument across by saying “N word” and not using the word and by not saying “don’t NAACP me” and “Don’t marry out of your race ” but like Michael Richards AKA “Cosmo Kramer”, she ends up the trash heap of history, a history of her own making. I am so happy that the free market AKA sponsors started to pull their ads (I guess they were exercising their free speech) and she finally realized that she was just another “run of the mill gabby” and her days were numbered. She realized that she was not as smart as she thought she was, finally! We are all adults here and we all know that we cannot control how others will respond to our comments, but it nothing to do about First Amendment rights (how exactly did the government stop her? They didn’t) and street talk and more about being held responsible for our actions and words.  The first three times she used the word might not have been in anger but the last eight she was filled with hate, so good riddance.

Palin was the one who got bent over the use of the word “Retard” (she wanted someone fired for using it once), Palin also said that the people have the right to build the Mosque in NY, but out of respect for the 9/11 families they shouldn’t, but I guess this same standard is not applicable to Laura Schlessinger. Do you see the hypocrisy? The problem with Palin is the same when she mistakenly referred to Ronald Reagan Eureka College, being in California and we all know its in Illinois, same thing, she does not fact check anything she is going to say. She is soooo Palin!
